My Coaching Story
I believe that my life journey is not an accident. I was born with a significant hearing loss in both ears. At a young age, I was fit with hearing aids and later pursued a cochlear implant. I continue to live through the daily joys and challenges of this vibrant hearing world as a deaf/hard of hearing individual. Throughout life, I have been told that I could not achieve a goal due to my hearing disability. The "you cannot do this adversity" became my catalyst for positive change.
In 2019 I had a realization as I pursued a cochlear implant. I am a doctor of audiology giving me firsthand professional knowledge about the medical and audiological process. What I was not prepared for was the emotional journey, motivation, and plan necessary to achieve my goals. I had doubts and fears about making a decision and moving forward with each step. I needed to experience the power of transformational coaching to dismantle the barriers I had created in my life.
Reflectively, I realized the benefit that coaching could have played in multiple areas of my life. My parents worried about my future. My teen self wanted to be "normal" instead of embracing an authentic self. My adult self created limiting beliefs limiting bigger opportunities. I needed an empowEARment coach in my life.
My mission is to empowEAR through coaching parents, professionals, and individuals within the deaf and hard-of-hearing, auditory processing, and ADHD community to navigate challenges, embrace opportunities, and thrive in a world that celebrates diversity.
My Qualifications
I believe in the transformative power of coaching, led by a deaf/hard-of-hearing coach, to create a world where everyone, regardless of hearing ability, can thrive and lead fulfilling lives. As a certified professional coach, I have completed extensive training in personal vision, values-based living, goal setting, empowering, and communication. I completed my training through the World Coach Institute and committed to ongoing professional development.

Transformational coaching is a tool that helps you uncover who you are and what you want. I take a collaborative and person-focused approach to coaching. By working together, we can identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create a plan of action to embrace your best life.
My Specialties
I specialize in helping parents who have a deaf/hard of hearing child, teens who are d/hh, have auditory processing, ADHD, and those who are on the deaf/hard of hearing journey including hearing aids and cochlear implants through transformational coaching. Together we will create a step-by-step plan to navigate hurdles and embrace your best life.
